My paintings are reflections on the effects of human actions on fragile ecosystems like forests, coral reefs and the world of insects. Through the process of painting, I adopt the visual vocabulary of these fascinating biospheres. Furthermore, I develop new painting techniques to capture the diversity of organisms and creatures, by implementing experiments with different substances and surfaces.
Material experiments with textiles, ceramics, and found objects are also the basis for my three-dimensional works. In exhibitions, I assemble paintings and sculptures to create apocalyptic scenarios, which outline human survival in an environment polluted by radioactive contamination, smog, floods, and epidemics.
